‘That’s a funny way to announce the signing of a new centre back’ - Sheffield Wednesday fans react to tweet

Our Sheffield Wednesday fans here in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait for their side to get going this season coming as they are hoping for a successful one.

The men from Hillsborough once again fell short in the play-offs last season but will be looking for things to be third time lucky in 2017/18 in terms of promotion.

For sure, they need to sign new players but there can be no doubt that they’ll be one of the favourites to come up and so it just remains to be seen as to who Carlos Carvalhal manages to sign.

Whilst we do wait, though, Wednesday have been keeping track of one of their former players – Jermaine Johnson – who scored for his nation Jamaica recently.

Indeed, the Owls’ congratulated him on Twitter and there was plenty said from the fans too – with the best of the reaction below:
