The 2 signings that could make-or-break Celtic’s 2017/18 season

Celtic will head into the 2017/18 season in a joyous mood, as a potential domestic treble looms for the Bhoys.

Brendan Rodgers has led his side to an amazing season in the SPL this term, and the Celtic fans are bouncing here in the Tavern following a stunning 5-1 away victory at local rivals Rangers this weekend.

Rodgers is a manager who knows what he is doing it seems, and he will no doubt have one eye firmly on next season and how he can make his squad even better than it already is.

Our landlord has been chatting with some Celtic fans over at the pool table, and they have been throwing some names about in relation to summer signings that the club could make this summer to strengthen their pack.

With this in mind, here are TWO signings who could make or break Celtic’s year next season…

Ross McCormack

The Scotland striker has not settled in well to his time with Nottingham Forest, following an equally frustrating time at Villa Park following an expensive summer move.

The former Leeds and Fulham man though is a talent, and he knows where the back of the net is. A season or two in Scotland could revitalise the striker, and McCormack could well endear himself to the Celtic faithful and repay them with goals galore.

Daniel Sturridge

A player who Brendan Rodgers knows very well from his time in the Premier League with Liverpool, many expect Sturridge to move on this summer.

He has been frozen out under Jurgen Klopp, but what better way to get back firing and on form by joining a manager who knows exactly how to get the best out of you. It would certainly be of no surprise if Rodgers made a move for the former Chelsea youngster.
