Since making the move north of the border, Brendan Rodgers has enjoyed a period of success in Scotland, a period the former Liverpool manager has never experienced in his career.
Under Rodgers, Celtic completed the historic double treble, to become the first team in Scotland to complete the feet. At the beginning of this year, however, the club have struggled to pick form as they have lost star man Moussa Dembele, while also having speculation surrounding Olivier Ntcham and Dedryck Boyata.
They currently sit sixth in the table and following their 1-0 win over St Johnstone in the Scottish League Cup, Rodgers admitted that he had turned down offers from China over the summer.
After such a period of success, Celtic need to be careful not to lose a manager that has maintained the club’s success and dominance in the league.
With Rangers boss, Steven Gerrard seemingly getting back in the transfer market by his board, Rodgers has been neglected in the transfer market this year and despite bringing in Odsonne Edouard, there haven’t been too many more quality signings brought in.
One of the biggest mistakes any title-winning team can make is not strengthening after winning silverware and this season, Celtic could well be about to do just that.
After confirming that he’s had offers from abroad, the beginning of the end could be about to start at the club and the Celtic board must back him or they could lose out massively.
