Well I may as well say goodbye to my loved ones now. I shall gather them together for a heart-rendering speech about how I love them all with all my heart and how I’ll forever live on in their memories because I just found something more amazing than Football Manager.
Pick Live is a live fantasy football game in which you play for real cash based on the outcomes of a selected football match. For example, if Wigan are playing Fulham, you play fantasy football live with others during the game for cash prizes.
Today I joined a game featuring today’s Championship early kick off between Ipswich and Swansea. I selected three players from any of the 22 men on the pitch and then sat back and crossed my fingers for points.
Games last about 7 minutes and during that time you can swap your players as many times as you like as long as it’s one at once and you wait 30 seconds. The stakes are really low too, you only need £1 per game and everytime you have a realistic chance of winning.
Points are won for things like short passes, long passes, assists, tackles, interceptions and of course, goals. Points can also be lost too, for fouls or poor passes etc. The winner at the end of the game gets the majority of the prize pot and some of the other top players receive some money back too.
