Sheffield Wednesday: Fans share their delight with team’s celebrations

Steven Fletcher’s comeback from injury is already proving a key development for the Owls as his goal against Charlton enabled them to return to winning ways.

Indeed, he also appeared off the bench against Birmingham in a game that Wednesday were minutes from winning and last night the 32-year-old showed his poaching quality to head the ball past Dillon Phillips in the dying seconds before sprinting to the dugout to celebrate with Garry Monk and his coaching staff.

All the players got involved and there was a celebratory melee on the touchline, with both passion and relief seemingly beamed across their faces after picking up their first three points for more than a month.

As a result, some supporters were pleased to see how much the win meant to the players, as there was some doubt about Monk’s management and the effort on show from players.
