Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern want to see some new signings during this window with them currently not having signed anyone this month.
The Reds are well in with a chance of winning the league this season with them currently just seven points behind current league leaders Chelsea in the table.
They’ve played some of the best football in the division this season, too, but many reckon out of all the title challengers this year they have the weakest squad.
Indeed, our landlord agrees and thinks that whilst their first XI is as good as anyone’s in the league at the moment, you look at their bench and just think it hasn’t got enough.
Our local Reds want to see some big deals confirmed in the coming weeks, then, and our landlord reckons this could be their very exciting looking line-up if all the rumours surrounding the club are to be believed…
GK: Simon Mignolet

Mignolet has performed admirably this season and our landlord reckons he’ll be kept in goal for the rest of this season as things stand.
RB: Nathaniel Clyne

Clyne has been great this season and our landlord reckons there’s no need to replace him right now. Trent Alexander-Arnold looks decent back-up too.
CB: Joel Matip

Matip is Liverpool’s best defender and should be in the side sooner rather than later. He’s shown himself to be a fantastic presence at the back this season.
CB: Virgil Van Dijk

The likes of The Express have linked the Reds with the powerful centre-half. Signing him would probably stamp out the club’s defensive issues for good.
LB: James Milner

Klopp’s decision to play Milner here has paid off greatly. Our landlord can’t see any reason for that to change for the rest of this season at least.
CM: Jordan Henderson

Henderson has had a fine season and won’t be going anywhere. He’s passed teams off the pitch this season and deserves all the plaudits he gets.
CM: Franck Kessie
The Mirror amongst others have linked the Reds with a move for Kessie. He’d be the extra powerful goal-scorer the club needs in their central areas.
CM: Adam Lallana

Lallana has become indispensable this season and must be one of their first names on the team-sheet. He scores goals now and is a big component of how Jurgen Klopp wants his teams to play.
RW: Sadio Mane

The right winger is currently at AFCON but you can bet what you like that he’ll be back in the side as soon as he returns. Mane has really revolutionised the way the Reds attack this season.
ST: Domenico Berardi

Gazzetta di Modena (via The Metro) reckon the Reds are scouting this man and what a signing he’d be. The Sassuolo man is the definition of prolific and can play anywhere in the front three.
LW: Philippe Coutinho

Coutinho is the Reds’ best player and so will undoubtedly be in the side whenever fit. He’s got the ability to win games by himself and could be the key to the Reds winning the league this season.
