Our Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are remaining confident that they will finish in the top four this season despite them currently lying outside those spots.
The Red Devils are currently in sixth place in the Premier League at the moment and will be eager to reel in likes of Liverpool, Spurs and Manchester City before the season is out.
Indeed, if they fail to do so many will think that it will be harder for them to sign new, top-class players but as signing Paul Pogba showed last summer, that might not necessarily be the case.
Pogba, though, has had a lot of criticism aimed at him this season in light of the price he cost and not seemingly doing much but – as per Squawka on Twitter – he doesn’t seem to have actually been that bad:
Only Lionel Messi has completed more through balls in Europe’s top 5 leagues this season (15) than Paul Pogba (12).

The Frenchman is only second to Lionel Messi, then, in terms of successful through balls this season in the whole of Europe and that cannot be sniffed at – despite all the criticism.
