Everyone loves a good miss, unless it’s your team’s striker doing the missing. Anyway, my top ten worst:
10) William
There is nothing better than a penalty being missed by a player being a cocky so and so. This one by William of Botofogo is right up there:

9) Pires / Henry

8/7/6) One Video, 3 Misses
Three different misses to highlight on this ‘top ten clip’ now. First of all, at number 2, Pires and Henry show they can interchange and Henry gets right underneath it. At number 9, Darren Huckerby, yes the very same that once lead United on a merry dance around their own area, completely shanks one. While, at number 1, Kanu practically missed from the very goal line:

Now, I was talking about missed cocky penalties earlier. But a miss by someone who is just plain cocky is even better. First up, Mr ‘I AM ZLATAN’ Ibrahimovic v Sevilla:

4) Ronaldo
Now for the ‘winker’ Cristiano Ronaldo v Sheff Utd. The best thing about this, is that if he scores, it’s ‘just another classy United goal’. As it is, we get to lap up Rooney’s skill, appreciate Giggs standing up the entire blades defence before cutting them open and get to laugh ourselves silly at Ronaldo’s miss:
