Several days ago it was confirmed that N’Golo Kante was on his way to Chelsea FC.

He was an absoloute wall in the heart of the Leicester midfield last year, and their success was due in large part to his heroics in the middle of the park.

He will no doubt look to bring that to Stamford Bridge next season, with his qualities giving Chelsea a whole new dimension to their play.

He will bring a quality that Chelsea have lacked since the departure of Claude Makelele, with the French midfielder already having drawn comparisons within the Tavern to the Chelsea legend.

Nemanja Matic

Matic is so much more than a defensive midfielder, and he has needed a player of Kante’s quality next to him for him to be able to show that.

Expect Matic to bomb forward more next season and pose a threat to opposition defences, whilst also getting back to his best defensively.

Cesc Fabregas

At points last season Cesc Fabregas was unplayable, and with two midfield stalwarts in Matic and Kante alongside him; expect more of the same next season.

The two defensively minded players alongside him will allow Cesc to push forward and play as more of a number 8/10, giving more creative freedom to do what he does best.

He performs best when part of a midfield three, so his spot in this team would be ideal for him.

The Blues were often exploited when Fabregas played as a number 4 last year, and so a push forward is a natural fit. That will allow him to provide goals and assists as he did during the 2014/15 season.
