As reigning champions of Europe it’s hard to deny that Chelsea are a major force in English football but in the past that has not always been the case.
Founded in 1905, the Stamford Bridge-based club have spent most of their history featuring in the top flight in England and although most of their success has come in recent years, the club have always seen talented players gracing their West London turf.
Therefore it proved a very difficult task to put together the greatest Chelsea team of all-time and only after long discussion with the Chelsea supporters sat around the bar have we managed to produce the ultimate Blueseleven.
As money reached the club in the form of Roman Abramovich so has success on the field so obviously there a few players from the recent generation in the team but we still go further back to find players who made a considerable impact during the days when the Blues were not so successful.
