Arsenal’s clash with Chelsea later today is a big one for the Gunners. A loss could put them in a very tough position as they look to finish in the top four, whilst a win will show that they mean business.
It’s not been a very easy spell for the club, and after an initial honeymoon period following the arrival of Unai Emery, things have been brought back down to earth with a crushing thud as of late.
They haven’t been poor, but they’ve been well short of their best, and off the field situations have been taking up a lot of the headlines regarding the club.
Significantly, they’re yet to make a single major signing this month, whilst continued uncertainty regarding the future of Mesut Ozil has left fans feeling frustrated. He’s been touted with an Arsenal exit recently, with David Ornstein of the BBC (via the Sun) noting that Unai Emery has said he can leave the club.

Emery should play 4-2-3-1 tomorrow to accommodate Ozil in the 10, it’s a win win for Emery because if Ozil plays well then the ‘friction’ has worked, if Ozil plays the way he normally does these days then Emery will be proved right for leaving him out.
