Arsenal look like they are going to challenge once again for the title this season and here in the Transfer Tavern we think they’ve got as good a chance as anyone.

Of course, it’s only November, and we’ve seen the wheels come off many an Arsenal charge over the years so we’re not getting ahead of ourselves just yet.

Indeed, the Gunners are two points off the top of the league right now and so it looks as though it’s going to be one close title race this season.

One of the factors the trophy’s destination could come down to may just be who does what in the January transfer market.

Clubs will have a good idea about what they need by then and if someone makes a good signing it could be decisive.

Mohamed Elneny

Elneny struggled to get into the side last season when it was just Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin for the deeper midfield roles, so now Granit Xhaka has arrived his task looks even more futile.

He’s been limited to very few games this season thanks to the Swiss international’s arrival so he must be considering a move away in January.

Here in the Transfer Tavern we can’t see him staying much longer.

Yaya Sanogo

Sanogo was signed a few years ago with the view to him being one of the next bright strikers for Arsenal but it simply hasn’t worked that way.

Despite Olivier Giroud’s injuries and Lucas Perez not reaching the benchmark just yet, Sanogo hasn’t even been considered as an option to play up front.

It’s time for him to move away, then, and start building some kind of career for himself.
