The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are, once again, disillusioned with life under Arsene Wenger…
After a couple of seasons dancing with mediocrity, it looked like Arsenal were back this season, but results against Everton and Manchester City recently have cast the same old doubts.
They had looked like Chelsea’s main contenders for the Premier League crown but they’ve slipped behind Man City and Liverpool in the race and look in need of some fresh ideas.
It makes you wonder, then, how well Arsenal would be doing if they were using the entirety of their squad more effectively.
There are a number of players in the Arsenal first team that are, at present, simply not being used enough. They have often, in the past, been vital components for their respective teams – but at Arsenal they haven’t been given the time of day yet.
There is still time for Wenger though, and he must look to make a change.
With that said, these two Arsenal players need to ask Wenger for more minutes on the pitch…
Lucas Perez

Lucas Perez has largely played a bit-part role so far, owing to the impressive form of both Giroud and Sanchez – but that must change going forward.
He scored a hat-trick to send Arsenal through as group winners in the Champions League, and if that doesn’t prove that he is ready to be given a starting berth, nothing does.
He is a natural goalscorer, which is something that Arsenal have lacked in the past, and his arrival would allow Sanchez to shift back out wide.
Rob Holding

Rob Holding was playing pretty frequently earlier in the season, but the return of Koscielny and the signing of Mustafi has reduced his role somewhat.
It is a shame, because he was pretty good in the opening few weeks of the season.
He is a solid, young option for Wenger – and whilst he shouldn’t be starting every week, he does deserve more than to have three appearances at this stage.
Mustafi has been injured lately, so Holding could be an option.
