These 2 Arsenal players need to leave to fulfil their potential

Arsenal have always been great at producing young players and you have to say a lot of that is down to Arsene Wenger over the last 20 years.

The Frenchman seems to have a gift for turning potential into the real McCoy and has seen a number of stars come through, as well as young ones he’s bought, turn into leading lights for the Gunners.

Our resident Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern agree and feel there’s very few managers around even now that can do what the Frenchman can, when it comes to making young players Premier League heroes.

The likes of Thierry Henry and Cesc Fabregas would arguably not have had the careers they’ve enjoyed but for Wenger, and now the challenge is for him to do the same for the next batch.

It could turn out, though, that some Arsenal stars need to leave temporarily or permanently to realise their true potential.

Here are TWO our landlord thinks that is the case for…

Jeff Reine-Adelaide

Reine-Adelaide 5

The young attack minded player is certainly thought of highly at Arsenal but may be better off moving away for a bit to start honing his skills.

He’s got pace and looks assured on the ball whilst he emanates a real sense of calm that has got our local Gunners fans quietly thinking he’s going to be class.

All he needs now is experience and so it’s time for him to take that plunge.

Yaya Sanogo

Sanogo

Sanogo signed for Arsenal a few years ago with the view to him being their next star but he simply hasn’t managed to reach those heights, and so it could be time to walk away permanently from the club.

He seems like the kind of player that needs a run of games before he starts scoring and that will not happen at the Emirates unfortunately for him.

Another club might be ready to take that gamble, though.
