Arsenal are currently in the midst of a strange period in their season, and the Gunners fans here in the Transfer Tavern are looking a bit perplexed with how things have gone of late.

A hammering in the Champions League at the hands of Bayern Munich and an under par performance against non-league Sutton United have all added to some bad feeling in and around the club, and especially towards manager Arsene Wenger.

The Gunners squad though is one which is absolutely full of talent, and they should be doing better than they are in all seriousness.

However, there are some players within the squad who simply need to be looking to move on, and our Arsenal fans over at the dartboard are trying to think of just who might well look to move on this summer.

With that in mind, here are TWO Arsenal players who need to leave for the sake of their careers…

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

The versatile midfielder is a player who is full of ability, but have never quite settled into a permanent position at Arsenal.

The time now might be right for the Ox to move on and further his career elsewhere. There are plenty of clubs who would take him on, and with a run in the team in a set position, the England international would no doubt flourish.

Lucas Perez

A strange summer signing to say the least, Perez will no doubt be looking to move on come the summer, with a move back to his homeland probably on the agenda.

Perez has struggled to cement any sort of place in the Arsenal line-up since his move, with Wenger preferring other options both out wide and through the middle in his attacking set up.

It looks like just not working out for Perez, and a move for him would be beneficial for all concerned.
