These 2 Arsenal wonderkids could genuinely become a future captain at the club

Arsenal have a habit of producing excellent young players under Arsene Wenger, and despite what people say now, it is one thing he can be proud of from his reign at the Gunners.

Our Arsenal fans here in the Tavern are split in opinion of late with regards to their manager, but they are united on the fact that they have produced quality young players.

The likes of Cesc Fabregas, Nicolas Anelka, and Patrick Vieira were all bought as raw talents by Wenger, and all were turned into genuinely world class players.

Talk over at the bar this week has been around which young players at the club could progress to be next star at the club, and even a future captain.

With this in mind, we have taken a look at TWO Arsenal wonderkids who could captain the club in the future…

Rob Holding

There’s no doubt that the former Bolton man was brought to the club to be a future stalwart, and next season might represent the chance for Holding to show his worth.

Big, strong, and good in both the air and in the tackle, Holding could be what Arsenal have been missing for years, and might well go on to be a future captain of the club, if given the right chances.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles

The 19-year-old is one of the most highly regarded young players at the club at the moment, and he looks to have a superb career ahead of him.

It would top it off for him if he was to become captain of the club, and there is every chance he could be, with his versatility and attitude to the game making him a prime candidate to be a future Gunners leader.
