Everton fans here in the Tavern are hoping their side can show some consistency from here on in, as they look to finish the Premier League season strongly.

Everton have had a season to forget in many respects after making one of the worst starts to a Premier League campaign in their history, as it looked like they were heading for relegation to the Championship under former boss Ronald Koeman. But, Sam Allardyce has worked wonders since being appointed as the club’s new manager back in November, with a mid-table finish looking likely for the Merseyside club.

However, there are still a number of players that need to contribute more from here on in until the end of the season, as the international break now offers some valuable thinking time. Davy Klaassen

Davy Klaassen has had a poor first season at Goodison Park after struggling to come to terms with English football, with only 14 appearances to his name since making the move from Dutch giants AFC Ajax in the summer.

Indeed, the 25-year-old featured for the first time since September in their 2-0 victory over Brighton, and will now look to redeem himself from here on in until the end of the season.

Therefore, the Dutchman has a lot of thinking to do over the course of the international break, as there’s still major doubts surrounding his future at Goodison Park.

Michael Keane

Michael Keane has struggled during his time at Goodison Park after making the move from fellow Premier League side Burnley, as poor performances in early parts of the season had many of our locals fearing for their future.

Indeed, the 25-year-old was one of the most promising central defenders in England under Sean Dyche, but is still yet to live up to the £30 million that was paid for his services back in July.

Therefore, the defender needs to buck up his ideas over the international break to have a positive impact on proceedings, with it being reported that the Toffees are looking to dump him in the summer transfer window.
