The Everton supporters here in the Transfer Tavern are relatively pleased with their teams form so far this season and they hope that they can continue towards a Europa League berth for next season.

The Toffees didn’t start too great this season, yet they now seem well poised to finish the season with a flourish under the stewardship of ex-Southampton boss Ronald Koeman.

The blue half of Liverpool have been in good spirits in the Tavern of late and several of their fans have spent several nights supping large amounts of ale with the landlord.

During the summer Koeman is likely to make some more amendments to his squad and some of the current crop could look to depart for pastures new, particularly those who haven’t featured a great deal this season.

Phil Jagielka

The central defender isn’t really a regular at Everton these days and in order to prolong is playing days he could look to sign for a different club.

There is little doubt that the veteran could still do a job for a club somewhere but playing regular football at Goodison Park looks like a daunting task for the England man.

One Everton fan is chilling with the newspaper here in the Tavern and he agrees that Jagielka’s playing time at Everton is likely to be restricted in the coming years and a move could be wise.

Arouna Kone

The Ivorian striker must be on borrowed time at the Toffees having fallen way down the pecking order since Ronald Koeman’s arrival on Merseyside.

The 33-year-old has not played anywhere near enough football this season and he looks certain to depart the club during the summer months.

A couple of Everton fans are having a game of pool on the Tavern’s newly clothed table and they are in agreement that Kone is nowhere near the required quality to get into the current first-team squad.
