These 2 Everton players should plead Koeman for a loan move away in January

Everton have made a reasonable start to the 2016/17 campaign under the stewardship of Dutch manager Ronald Koeman, who joined the club from Southampton during the summer.

The Toffees picked up a deserved 1-1 draw with Manchester United last weekend, much to the delight of their supporters here in the Transfer Tavern.

Everton are eight in the Premier League at present and one Toffees follower here in the Transfer Tavern thinks that the club should be aiming for European qualification through the league, given the squad that Koeman has at his disposal.

With January on the horizon the Dutch boss may look to add to his squad to improve on recent results and he may also choose to let certain players depart from the club too.

Tavern writer Lee Clarke looks at two players who should plead with the Everton boss to let them go out on loan.

Ross Barkley

The England midfielder isn’t featuring regularly this season for the club and the player will no doubt want to be playing regular football.

Barkley had recently lost his place in the England squad and whilst he is sat on the bench with the Toffees, he is unlikely to force his way back into recognition.

One Everton fan has been helping the landlord tidy up his cellar and he thinks that it is ludicrous that Barkley doesn’t get a game in the current team, stating that he wouldn’t be completely surprised if he goes out on loan during January.

Muhamed Besic

The Bosnian is set to return for a knee injury in January and his first job when fully fit could be to ask for a loan move away from Goodison Park.

Over recent seasons the 24-year-old hasn’t played a great deal of football and he is unlikely to get regular game time at Everton straight away.

One Everton fan is chatting to his pals here in the Tavern and he thinks that a loan move would do Besic good, stating that he does still have a future at the Toffees but needs to play some regular football.
