These 2 Everton wonderkids could genuinely become a future captain at the club

Everton are a club who look to be on the up under new manager Ronald Koeman as well as new ownership giving them strength in the transfer market.

The former Southampton manager is getting things right with a mix of big signings and blooding young players, and it is this sort of management what has got our fans here in the Tavern buzzing.

Everton have always been a club focussed on youth, and this has continued this season, leading to a lot of the talk over at the dartboard here in the Tavern.

That talk has been specifically about if any of the youngsters are good enough to be a future captain at Goodison, and we think there is a decent chance of this happening.

With this in mind, here are TWO Everton wonderkids who could become a captain for Everton in the future…

Tom Davies

The impressive midfield ace has been superb in his starts since making his bow earlier in the season, and he looks every bit the new darling of Goodison Park.

Davies has all the attributes and qualities that a top midfielder and captain needs, and he looks to have a successful career ahead of him should he continue in the same vein.

Kieran Dowell

Despite only having 2 senior appearances to his name, 19-year-old Dowell is another midfield prospect who seems to have a bright future ahead of him.

Dowell made his mark on the first team towards the end of last season, and looks well set to make further inroads into the first team before this season is out.

Like Tom Davies, Dowell should have an excellent career ahead of him at Goodison.
