These 2 Leeds United players need to be as good as Saiz before the end of the season

Leeds United fans here in the Tavern are hoping that their side can mount a promotion push next season, having failed to make the most of a promising position in the current campaign.

The Whites have struggled to grind out positive results under Paul Heckingbottom, as they’ve only managed to secure one victory since he was appointed at the beginning of February. Although, with there still being a number of games left in the current campaign, the Englishman has plenty of time to rally his troops for a strong finish.

Indeed, Samuel Saiz has been the standout performer for Leeds United so far this season, as he continues to produce goals and assists on a consistent basis. So, Leeds will be desperate to see other first-team players raise their game from here on in, as the Spaniard hasn’t been at his best in recent times.

Nevertheless, here’s a look at TWO players that need to be as good as Samuel Saiz before the end of the season…

Ezgjan Alioski

Ezgjan Alioski was superb towards the beginning of the current campaign as one of Leeds United’s stars, but has struggled to rediscover that form in recent times as he continues to disappoint many of our locals.

Indeed, the 26-year-old has dropped to the substitutes’ bench on a number of occasions under Paul Heckingbottom, as poor performances won’t be tolerated at one of England’s biggest clubs.

Therefore, Alioski will need to be as good as Samuel Saiz from here on in, with Leeds looking to finish the season strongly.

Stuart Dallas

Stuart Dallas has completely lost his way in the current campaign as he continues to be trialed in different positions, with Ezgjan Alioski, Samuel Saiz, and Pablo Hernandez all ahead of him in the pecking order.

Indeed, the 26-year-old has struggled to find the back of the net after one of his best scoring season’s last time out, as he’s had to get used to less minutes so far this season.

Therefore, Dallas will need to be as good as Samuel Saiz from here on in until the end of the season, with a summer exit looking likely for the Republic of Ireland international.
