Man United are currently on a tremendous unbeaten run, and their fans here in the Transfer Tavern are looking delighted with themselves of late. 

Their squad is full of talent, and under Jose Mourinho they look to be getting back to their best and should be competing for the title next season if things continue in this vein.

With all the talent in the squad though, there are those Man United players on the fringes who are simply finding themselves out in the cold and frozen out under the Portuguese manager.

Our Red Devils fans over by the pool table have spent much of this week discussing these players, thinking about the ones who need moving on to be able to resurrect their careers so to speak.

Our landlord agrees there are some players who fit this mould, so with this in mind, here are TWO Man United players who need to leave for the sake of their careers…

James Wilson

The young striker has been out on numerous loan spells and was unfortunate to see his spell with Derby this season cut short due to serious injury.

However, with the talent United have and how Wilson has looked in his loan spells, it might be best if Wilson seeks a permanent move away.

The Championship appears to be Wilson’s level, and plenty of clubs could well be sniffing around should he look to move on.

Wayne Rooney

There isn’t anything really left for Wayne Rooney to achieve in terms of winning trophies and awards, but if he is to play on for longer, he will need to look to move away.

The United legend is looking increasingly likely to be moved on in the summer, and China could well be his destination. Many will be hoping Rooney leaves on a high with one final cup win under his belt for the club.
