Do Not Sell My Personal Information

These 2 Man United players will surely be sold in January – won’t they?

The Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern can’t quite believe what has been going on this season after a summer of real optimism.

The overwhelming joy of signing Paul Pogba and appointing Jose Mourinho has long gone and now our local Red Devils punters are trying to find any bit of comfort to tell them that season is not going to be another write-off.

But, after getting battered by Chelsea 4-0, a side that hasn’t exactly been dominant this season, it’s getting harder and harder to find some comfort for the Old Trafford lot.

It doesn’t help when almost anyone that has the ability to access a computer and voice their opinion is chipping away at the club but you’ve got to admit, they’ve largely got a point.

United have been poor this season so far, and still need some serious work but players may have to go before Mourinho can splash more of the cash.

Our landlord agrees and thinks this two, who simply aren’t good enough, have to go…

Marcus Rojo

United have not got the full-backs needed to win the Premier League title.

Whilst you could argue Luke Shaw will be and Antonio Valencia has been steady enough they’re hardly convincing points and that’s the club’s best two.

That factor, brings us nicely to Marcus Rojo who is not up to scratch.

Mourinho likes to build from the defence up when winning a title but he needs to take a wrecking ball to much of it right now and get the likes of the Argentine out.

Sergio Romero

Romero 2

When you think about all the top clubs, United have the worst depth in goalkeepers.

Whilst they have the best goalkeeper in the league in David De Gea, Sergio Romero wouldn’t get near any of the number 2 spots at the likes of Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City.

If the worst should happen and De Gea gets injured, United would be right in trouble and that’s why Romero should go and be replaced by a decent deputy.
