The Manchester United supporters here in the Transfer Tavern have been a really excitable bunch this past week following the Red Devils’ 3-2 win over Southampton in the EFL Cup Final last weekend.

United’s Portuguese boss Jose Mourinho appears to have steadied the ship at Old Trafford following a difficult start to life as the club’s manager and the future now looks promising for the club.

The club’s supporters have been supping themselves silly this past week with a blend of champagne, beer and red wine all being consumer with the celebrations going into overdrive following United’s trophy win.

Attentions will turn back to the league this weekend, however, and United will look to finish the league campaign on a high with Champions League football still not completely out of the window just yet.

Marcus Rashford

The boy wonder can achieve anything he wants to in the game and he looks set for a bright future in the game.

Wayne Rooney has proved that a good striker can also be a good captain and there is no reason why the 19-year-old cannot follow suit.

One United fan is sat sipping on a real ale here in the Tavern and he thinks that Rashford could well be a future captain, and also says he should be playing more this season too.

Joe Riley

The United youngster was born in nearby Blackpool and he is another player who could make the grade and become a first-team regular at the Red Devils.

A tough tackling defender, Riley has been performing well for the club’s reserves over the last couple of years and a step up to the first-team looks like the natural progression for the youngster.

One United fan is sat chatting to the landlord and he believes Riley could well be the next young player to become a first-team regular at the club.
