Manchester United are clearly going to take more work under Jose Mourinho than first thought, and our resident fans of the club here in the Transfer Tavern aren’t too happy about having to wait any longer than they already have for more success.

When the former Chelsea boss was appointed in the summer, many United fans felt that this was the start of their return to the top of English football but so far this season they haven’t really threatened that.

Losses to Chelsea and Manchester City and a draw with Liverpool have suggested they won’t be leading the pack at the business end of the season, and many of the squad at Old Trafford are having their futures questioned right now.

Indeed, TWO such players are Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin who appear to be out of Jose Mourinho’s plans but our landlord doesn’t think it will end there.

Here are TWO more potentially set to be shown the door…

Bastian Schweinsteiger

You have to feel for the former Bayern Munich man because he has been completely frozen out by Jose Mourinho.

He’s been allowed to start training again with the senior side recently despite not actually doing anything wrong, and it remains to be seen if he does go on to make another appearance for the club.

Even if he does, though, he’d be better off moving on to somewhere else.

Marcos Rojo

Rojo has never really settled at Manchester United and will surely leave soon.

He gets put in to every position in the defence as a makeshift type of player but hasn’t really succeeded in any of them and that is ultimately going to be his downfall.

Jose Mourinho needs top defenders in United’s back four and the Argentine, as harsh as it sounds, isn’t in that category.
