These 2 players simply must start for Arsenal against Liverpool later today

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are eager for their side to beat Liverpool…

It has been a tough start to the season for the Gunners, with a hotly contested win over Leicester City on the opening day and a disappointing defeat to Stoke City last weekend bringing the mood of the fans down.

Still, the season is still young, and there is also the prospect of a few more signings before the summer window closes.

The priority for Arsenal, though, must be on their clash with Liverpool, with games between the pair often hotly contested amongst supporters here in the Transfer Tavern.

Two of the Premier League’s biggest sides, the game is sure to have a few fireworks and big moments, and Arsene Wenger must ensure that he picks the best players to do a good job against the Reds. He might need to make a couple of tough decisions, but it’ll be worth it if he gets the result.

With that said, these 2 players simply must start for Arsenal against Liverpool later today…

Alexis Sanchez

The Chilean may not be fully fit, but there is no doubting that if possible, he simply must play.

Arsenal have really missed him so far this season, and he is the ultimate big game player.

His return would be a massive boost for the Gunners, and their chances are immediately bettered by his presence.

Mesut Ozil

There have been a lot of question marks about Mesut Ozil lately, and rightfully so. He has been poor in recent weeks, and Wenger would not be wrong to drop him for this game.

However, with the prospect of an Alexis Sanchez return, that could be the kick that Mesut Ozil needs to really push on and regain his form.

Let’s not forget, on his day he is better than anyone, and he has shown a tendency to really turn up for the bigger games.

Another poor performance could see him out of the first team for a few weeks – hopefully he will thrive on that pressure.
