Despite a lukewarm welcome to the hot-seat, our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are loving life under David Moyes, as he has continued to rejuvenate the club in recent weeks.
With the upturn in form recently, Moyes will surely be looking to continue this by going one better than last week’s goalless draw by beating Arsenal in the Carabao Cup quarter-final. Although you sense West Ham’s focus would be better suited to Premier League survival, a good run in this cup could go hand in hand with their attempts to climb up the Premier League table.
Moyes will be looking not to upset the apple cart too much by rotating things around, although in order to keep things fresh and to continue to keep the squad on its toes, a sprinkle of freshness in the team could go a long way.
Especially with Wenger’s policy of fielding a reserve side in this competition over the years, Moyes may have no better chance of progressing through to a morale-boosting semi-final than this.
A few changes could help West Ham’s chances, though, and these TWO players should not start as a result – agreed?

Much has been made of Joe Hart’s form as he struggles to regain his early career form that brought him so many accolades. After a loan spell at Torino, he’s returned to the Premier League with West Ham and would have been hoping to show Man City boss Pep Guardiola what he’s still got to offer.
In the past few games, Moyes has opted for last seasons number one Adrian in a bid to plug the leaky backline of conceding goals. This has been a great move by the new manager and West Ham have clean sheets in their last three games.
Now it’s up to Hart to convince not only Man City but more importantly his new boss that he is worthy of the number one jersey.
Michail Antonio
In a bid to freshen things up, Moyes may look to bring in Javier Hernandez to spearhead a front three against Arsenal.
That could see Michail Antonio make way, and that is something that makes sense. He has played a lot of football this season, and a rest will surely do him good.
Hernandez, meanwhile, is lacking confidence, and a few goals to secure progression for the Hammers could be just what he needs.
