These 2 wonderkids could emerge for Man City in the second half of the season

Manchester City are slowly picking up under Pep Guardiola, and the midweek victory over West Ham was a much needed boost to proceedings at the Etihad this term.

The City fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been up and down like a yo-yo this season as they try and understand if the Guardiola effect is actually working or not.

Since their big money takeover, City have become renowned for spending big fees on players during the transfer windows, and subsequently losing out on developing their own young talent.

The City fans gathered around the pool table here in the Tavern though believe that there is some talent in the youth ranks in Manchester, and we could well see the odd player emerge soon.

With that in mind, we take a look at TWO Manchester City wonderkids who could emerge in the second half of the season…

Erik Sarmiento

With City’s defensive problems this season, there could well be an opportunity for someone like Sarmiento to break into the side.

The Spanish left back is highly regarded at City, and could well be looking to make an impact in the first team soon.

With Gael Clichy past his sell by date, Sarmiento could well step up to the plate to fill the void.

Thierry Ambrose

In the young French striker, Man City have one of the hottest properties in the development leagues on their hands.

He blasted in over 20 goals to help his team win the title 2014, and has since gone on to improve further.

He got into the squad this term but suffered injury, but he could be back before the end of the season, and will be looking to force his way into the starting line-up.
