Arsenal love bringing through young players and developing them, and our local Gunners punters here in the Transfer Tavern love seeing them grow with the club.

It has to be said, Arsene Wenger has a knack of developing players with potential and whether they’ve been at the club since they were kids, or if they only joined in their late teens you can guarantee he will get the best out of them.

Players like Thierry Henry, Ashley Cole and Jack Wilshere all have Wenger to thank but, as always in football, many are now wondering who the next crop could be for the men from north London.

Certainly, the club have the pick of the best talent this country has to offer so it makes sense that they do indeed have some promising youngsters coming through.

Here are the THREE Arsenal wonderkids our landlord reckons will be worth loads in five years…

Eddie Nketiah

Arsenal signed Nketiah from London rivals Chelsea when he was 14 and it looks as though it was a shrewd move.

The striker is an absolute natural in front of goal and that talent saw him finish as the under-18 Premier League top scorer last season with 24 strikes.

He’s scored for the under 21’s this season already and looks like a great potential striker.

Donyell Malen

Malen only joined the Arsenal set-up last year from the famed youth academy at Dutch club Ajax but he has impressed with his ability to play in midfield or up front.

He is fast and strong and plays for the under-21 side despite being only seventeen, whilst he also has a number of appearances for the younger Dutch national sides.

Stephy Mavididi

Another rapid player Mavididi is a regular player in the under-21 Arsenal side at the moment.

He has the ability to take players on from his forward position but he also has great awareness in the box to get on the end of chances.

He’s played at youth level for England, too, and that makes him all the more exciting to look out for in the coming seasons.
