The Liverpool fans are more than happy with how things have gone so far in the Premier League this season, and they’re making sure everyone in the Transfer Tavern knows it.

To be fair, they’ve got a lot to shout about. The Reds have beaten Arsenal and Chelsea with good performances whilst could have also beaten Spurs as well as waltzing to victory against Leicester.

A good start then, bar the game against Burnley, and the locals here in the Transfer Tavern are pretty happy will all aspects of the squad.

The players that have stayed on past the last window are looking better every day under Jurgen Klopp whilst his new signings have settled in well.

Things are looking rosy, then, but our landlord reckons there’s a few that can’t quite cut the mustard right now and has doubts if they ever will so they need a stint in the Championship to improve.

Here are the THREE in mind…

Tiago Ilori

Tiago Ilori has been at the club for some time and just simply hasn’t be good enough to get near the squad at any point.

There’s a number of better centre-backs in the Reds squad and there always has been during the Portuguese’s Anfield career.

It’s time to take a step down to the Championship and begin to rebuild his career according to our landlord.

Cameron Brannagan

Brannagan looks like a decent player but at the moment isn’t good enough to be considered for the Liverpool first team, and should look at a lengthy spell in the Championship to improve.

A lot of players have dropped down to that level and improved and it may do Brannagan good to go there and work his way back up.

Connor Randall

The same for Brannagan can be said of Randall.

Whilst the likes of Kevin Stewart have come through to make a number of first team appearances, Randall has still found playing time limited and it could be worth going away from the club, earning more match experience and overall improving as a player ready to come back up to the Premier League.
