These 3 Man City players are incredibly underrated – Agreed?

The Manchester City fans here in the Transfer Tavern can’t believe the wealth of stars they have available, after years of scrimping and scraping away from the top of English football.

The team from the Etihad are now one of the most formidable sides in the country when they hit top gear and you’re always bound to see Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany and Kevin De Bruyne shirts on show by the bar whenever the team is on television.

This miraculous shift in fortunes has only be added to by the appointment of one of the most coveted managers in world football – Pep Guardiola.

The former Barcelona man himself, has wasted no time in making the fans dream even more with the signings of Ilkay Gundogan and John Stones amongst others, but our landlord here behind the bar reckons some City players deserve more attention than they’re getting.

City have a top squad but it wouldn’t be like it is without these THREE underrated stars…

Fernandinho

Fernandinho

First things first, Fernandinho is not as good as Xavi or Xabi Alonso but that should not stop people from appreciating the job he’s actually doing.

Guardiola loves a deep lying player to control the tempo of the game and the Brazilian is making a good job of it, so much so that when his potential replacement Ilkay Gundogan is fit, he may not just walk into the side.

David Silva

When you ask City fans who their best player is, most will say either Sergio Aguero or Vincent Kompany but Silva deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as those two.

The diminutive Spaniard is genuinely world class and would deserve a chance in any team in the world.

If he plays well, City play well, and that says a lot for a team as good as them.

Nolito

Nolito deserves a lot of credit for the way he has gone about his business so far in his first Premier League season.

A few may have felt he’d struggle given he came from Celta Vigo but he’s so far proved them wrong and been the dependable force up front Guardiola wanted.

He’s a vast improvement on the inconsistent Jesus Navas and looks a real snip at £13.8 million.
