What an incredible time to be a Manchester United fan!
The Red Devils have recently appointed the one and only Jose Mourinho and in recent days, have signed Swede striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. United have also added Borussia Dortmund star Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Now, of course, they have been linked with an eye watering move for Juventus superstar Paul Pogba.
The 23-year old left Old Trafford as a teenager and has become a global superstar. The Frenchman has been named in the FIFA World XI and has taken Serie A and the Champions League by storm.
Pogba has become a sensation and all the biggest clubs around the world are battling for his signature. His price tag is rising by the second and is valued at the moment at a colossal £100 million!
Still, the Landlord at the Tavern thinks that there are plenty of better, cheaper options for United to consider instead of the French midfielder.
Here are 5 midfield stars from Euro 2016 that could be better alternatives than Pogba.
Marek Hamsik

Hamsik was a real phenomenon for Slovakia at EURO 2016.
The 28-year old dazzled Russia, England and Wales with his skills, great passes and most noticeably, his wonder goal against Russia in the Group stage.
The travelling Napoli fans at the Tavern don’t want to see him go but United would be open to pay a big sum for the midfielder, perhaps not £80 million.
Ivan Perisic

Perisic will go down in history as a Croatia legend after his heroics against Spain. The Inter Milan midfielder was one of the stars of the tournament before Portugal chucked the Croatian’s out in the last 16.
Perisic managed to stand out in a side that boasts Luka Modric, Ivan Rakitic and Mario Mandzukic so the United fan by the Pool table thinks he would blend right in at Old Trafford.
Sergio Busquets

Busquets is not in the same league as Paul Pogba in terms of his ability to power through the opposition but he is certainly capable of controlling a game.
The Barcelona midfielder has bossed La Liga over the past few years and has really stepped up since Xavi left. The Landlord at the Tavern would love to see him in the Premier League.
Toni Kroos

Kroos is one of the most complete players on the planet. United have proved that you don’t need to play Champions League football to sign the best players around since getting the signatures of Ibrahimovic, Mkhitaryan and Di Maria in recent years.
The German playmaker would be costly but after ruling the Bundesliga and La Liga, the Premier League is surely next?
Radja Nainggolan

Belgium may have been booted out of EURO 2016 on Friday night but Nainggolan scored yet another screamer for United’s namesakes, the Red Devils.
Nainggolan was one of the outstanding performers of the tournament and remains a titan in Serie A.
At 28 years old, he is a few years left in him to come to England and bring United back to the level they were at with Sir Alex, the United fans at the Tavern are desperate for some new flair in the side .
