These Man Utd are full of praise for Wayne Rooney on the anniversary of his arrival

It hasn’t been a good few years for Man Utd, but fortunately for them, they’ve got a lot of memories to look back on with delight. Over the last decade or so, one man that has featured among many of Man Utd’s best moments is Wayne Rooney.

The Englishman, who was signed from Everton as a teenager, went on to have an illustrious career at Old Trafford, and he’s now rightly known as a legend at Old Trafford. A Champions League, a handful of Premier Leagues and many other trophies later, Rooney now finds himself playing in the MLS. He, of course, joined Everton prior to moving to America.

However, his club haven’t forgotten him. Man Utd have, in fact, been celebrating him over on Twitter by paying tribute to him on the anniversary of his signing for the club. It’s been 14 years to the day since the attacker arrived, and as the club have put it, a legend was born thereafter.

Naturally, Rooney remains popular among Man Utd fans online, and they’ve been full of praise for him on Twitter. Many fans have taken to the platform to pay tribute to the club legend. He may be gone, but he’s still a big topic of debate amongst Man Utd fans, it seems.
