The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to a story in the Yorkshire Evening Post where Leeds boss, Paul Heckingbottom has warned his players not to take it easy in the last few games of the season as he’s already making decisions for next season. Leeds face Barnsley this weekend in the “Heckingbottom derby” as the gaffer left Barnsley for Elland Road in February.

Under Heckingbottom, Leeds have been dire. The ex-Barnsley man has taken charge of 13 games since he took over at Elland Road, winning just two games and securing only ten points out of the 39 available. Heckingbottom’s impact or lack of as the case may be, at the club has led to a number of fans to call for his head when the season ends, although they’d just be showing everyone what they do to managers if they were to sack another gaffer this campaign.
Since Leeds United were promoted from League One in the 2009/10 season, the fans have seen 11 different managers take charge at the club. The club now, under a new owner in Andrea Radrizzani, will be hoping to kick the reputation of hiring and firing new managers as they looking to kick on next season under Heckingbottom. At the moment, the Yorkshire club has nothing to play for, being 14th in the Championship with no hope of promotion or fear of relegation with just three games left to play, the fans will just be hoping that they can start to gain some momentum and start next season strongly under Heckingbottom.
