With so many difficult Champions League draws for the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern in recent years, they were expecting the worst this time around…
Their fears were justified, too, with the Gunners drawing Bayern Munich yet again. An audible groan was heard in the Transfer Tavern as Arsenal’s name was revealed alongside Bayern Munich – with the Gunners in attendance growing increasingly frustrated at their team’s lack of luck in Europe’s premier competition.
The Champions League has remained elusive for the Gunners, and many in the Tavern were hoping for a slightly easier route than in previous years as Wenger tries to guide his side to Cardiff – but it would appear as though he will be forced to take the tough route yet again.
