The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting a big performance from their team against Arsenal on Friday. Jurgen Klopp’s men have had a mixed season so far, but things appear to be on the up.
They’ve picked up a few significant wins over the last few weeks, and another victory on Friday could solidify their position in the top four of the Premier League.
Fortunately, ahead of the game, they’ve received some good news in the form of a blow for Arsenal – with fitness expert Ben Dinnery reporting that Olivier Giroud won’t feature against the Reds.
Wenger says Giroud [hamstring] injury "does not look very good." Certainly out of Fridays game against Liverpool – further tests will determine the severity. Coquelin should be okay, fatigue related, cramp. #AFC

Though not a starter this season, Giroud has bagged 4 Premier League goals so far, cementing his place as a lethal goalscorer despite a lack of game time.
Though bad for Arsenal, Liverpool will no doubt be glad that they don’t have to line-up against the deadly Frenchman, and it’s fair to say that the Reds over on the Liverpool Reddit page are pretty happy about the news too.
Describing the injury news as ‘big’ whilst also suggesting just how good it is for them, the Anfield faithful are clearly very happy. Take a look at a few example responses below…
