Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are certainly looking forward to what they hope will be a better season than last year.
The men from the London Stadium endured a tough time during 2016/17 but have made some good signings this summer and will surely be aiming to qualify for Europe once again come the end of this campaign.
In the meantime, though, they’re going to have to watch the likes of Everton have a crack at the Europa League – knowing full well they are the team to beat when it comes to the sides outside the top six.
Indeed, the Toffees got their Europa League campaign underway last night with a 1-0 win but many Hammers fans were quick to point out how empty the ground was – unlike the London Stadium on their European nights.
