‘This is key’ - Leeds fans react to main man’s latest comments

Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are confident of a more successful season next time out as they look to build on a progressive 2016/17.

Indeed, at the start of the season many fans would have taken a top half finish so to be feeling disappointed about missing out on the play-offs is in many ways a positive sign.

The task, then, for Garry Monk and his men has to be to bring in players during the summer window that will make a difference in terms of finishing inside the top six and it appears Kyle Bartley could be a part of that.

Indeed, Bartley is only on loan at the club from Swansea and as quoted by Phil Hay of the Yorkshire Evening Post on Twitter, Monk has made it clear he’d like a permanent deal sorted if he himself stays in charge.

There was always going to be a reaction to this, then, and so here is what was said:

@PhilHayYEP Not sure if we can keep hold of bartley. Feels like so much is dependent on securing monk first. He’s good enough for a gamble at PL Level.
