Just when you think Manchester United are getting things back on track, they let their fans down once more leaving them distraught here in the Transfer Tavern.

When Jose Mourinho first joined the club they were ecstatic as they felt they were going back to the top of the Premier League this season.

Indeed, they started well enough with a decent unbeaten start before they ran into Manchester City.

City brushed them aside and that sparked a poor run of form before United picked things back up against Leicester City.

All began to seem well again until this weekend just gone, that is.

United lost away at Chelsea on Sunday by a huge 4-0 scoreline and their players have once again come under the spotlight.

Even Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who seemed to be one of the few doing okay this season has come in for criticism for his goal-less streak, and our landlord thinks United should look at signing these THREE replacements in January…

Alvaro Morata

Alvaro Morata has been frustrated at Real Madrid this season due to lack of playing time but when he has played he’s done decently enough.

He scored the winner at the weekend for Los Blancos against Athletic Bilbao but still remains to be seen as an option off of the bench over anything else.

He’d do well at United, then, because they’re much more likely to play him than the Spanish side.

Alexandre Lacazette

The French forward was linked with Arsenal of course in the summer but didn’t move much to the frustration of their fans here in the Transfer Tavern, and our landlord thinks United should act.

The Red Devils have the money and the need to sign the forward who would instantly revitalise their attacking line.

He has pace and lethal finishing ability so would be a big hit at Old Trafford.
