Everton are knocking on the door of the European places again this season, and there will be plenty of Toffees supporters who will be hopeful they can pip Manchester United to sixth at the end of the season!
It’s been somewhat of a mixed campaign for Ronald Koeman and his players who have seen good spells come and go, and it seems like the Everton fans here in the pub just want to see some consistency going forward.
But with a big run of games on the horizon and the need to pick up as many points as possible increasing, it’s important the Toffees really switch on and give the rest of this campaign everything they’ve got.
But with the summer transfer window edging ever closer, the need for Ronald Koeman to make big decisions on the futures of some of his players is increasing.
He’s got some cracking talent in the ranks but there are also players in this group that have underperformed and who might want to leave.
So armed with some advice from our Everton locals, here’s TWO Toffees players whose careers are at a real crossroads…
Phil Jagielka

Former England international Phil Jagielka has paid the price for some poor pre-season form at Goodison Park and has seen his play time seriously restricted over the past couple of months.
He’s a real favourite amongst the supporters here in the pub and as club captain, few want to see him leave at the end of the campaign.
But in hindsight, Jagielka still has years in him and would make a cracking addition to plenty of sides at this level, posing the question, should he think about leaving this summer?
Oumar Niasse

Oumar Niasse is currently out on-loan with Hull City having failed to break into the Everton squad last winter.
He was an expensive signing that never really worked out and the likelihood of him coming back into this Everton side is looking slim – and the punters in here just don’t think he’ll do it.
But looking forward, he needs to begin thinking about his own career and where he wants to go.
He’s got some real pedigree from his time in Russia and there will be a team out there for him somewhere- he just needs to find somewhere to settle, most likely away from Goodison Park.
