Time to look for a new club: 2 Man United players who should consider summer exits

Jose Mourinho and Manchester United have hit some good form over the last few months, and the Red Devils here in the Tavern are looking pretty happy with themselves.

A strong performance last time out against Champions Leicester extended their unbeaten run in the Premier League, and they look well place to compete for a place in the top four.

The Man United squad is full of talent, and there are plenty of players who don’t get much of a look in. This has prompted the Red Devils over at the dartboard to start questioning what will happen in the summer transfer window when it opens.

Our landlord thinks that some Man United players could be moved on, and we agree.

With that in mind, here are TWO Man United players who should consider summer exits…

Ashley Young

The former Watford and Aston Villa man seemingly keeps clinging on to his place in the Man United squad, but his time could be up in the summer.

Young still has plenty to offer, and there would be no shortage of offers for the winger.

A hard working player who would do an excellent job in the Premier League for most clubs, Young might want to move on and bag himself a contract elsewhere as he enters the latter stages of his career.

Wayne Rooney

There is so much talk about Rooney all season long, but this summer could finally see the England man move on.

He has little left to achieve or even prove at Old Trafford, and he might seek out one final challenge this summer if he is not part of the manager’s plans for next season.

Although past his best, Rooney is still top drawer and a class act, and one final career move might just happen this summer.
