Chelsea’s form under Liam Rosenior has been steady rather than spectacular.
A run of frustrating results — including draws against Leeds and Burnley, plus defeat to Arsenal — has dented momentum, but the Blues remain in contention for a top-four finish.
Regardless of whether Champions League qualification is secured, the summer promises significant change. Rosenior is expected to put his own stamp on the squad, which will mean both arrivals and departures.
One defender, in particular, appears increasingly likely to move on.
Tosin to Leave Chelsea
According to The Sun, Tosin Adarabioyo “will almost certainly leave” Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
The centre-back’s future has looked uncertain ever since former manager Enzo Maresca publicly criticised his performance following the away fixture at Leeds. Since then, consistent opportunities have been limited, and a return to regular first-team football has seemed unlikely.
Tosin arrived on a free transfer from Fulham and enjoyed a respectable first campaign, featuring prominently during Chelsea’s Conference League run. However, his form has dipped this season, and he has struggled to cement a starting role.
Chelsea are widely expected to strengthen in defence. The club have already recalled Mamadou Sarr from his loan spell at Strasbourg, while Aaron Anselmino is currently gaining experience there and is viewed as part of the long-term plan.
Previously described as a “special” player by former Fulham manager Marco Silva, Tosin showed promise in his debut season in west London. Yet with competition increasing and Rosenior reshaping his squad, his time at the club now appears to be drawing to a close.
While Tosin’s first year at Chelsea hinted at long-term potential, circumstances have shifted. With defensive reinforcements arriving and opportunities dwindling, a summer exit seems the most likely outcome as the Blues look to evolve under Rosenior’s leadership.
