Tottenham fans on Twitter loved seeing Danny Rose back in training

Danny Rose has had an absolutely torrid couple of years. The defender was in the form of his life during the 2015/16 season and he tore teams apart down the left flank, bombing forward and opening teams up to great effect. However, the last two seasons he’s been hit with some awful injury woes and now he looks like a shadow of the player he once was, although he’s now getting back to fitness.

Whether Rose comes back and finds his top form or not is irrelevant, just the fact that he’s back is brilliant news. So far this season, Mauricio Pochettino has had to rely on Ben Davies at left-back and the Welshman has been the club’s lone man for the position so far. Having the ability to rotate will be brilliant for Poch and Rose and Davies would be able to share the position to prevent either of them having to suffer any fatigue-related injuries.

If Rose can find his best form, though, then Tottenham will be in a much better position to fight for silverware this season. The only fear that a lot of Tottenham fans have is that the 28-year-old has lost his legs after suffering the injury issues that he has. In his few cameo appearances that he’s made over the last couple of years, he hasn’t looked like the same player that helped The Lilywhites battle it out with Leicester and Arsenal near the top of the league in the 2015/16 season.

The Lilywjites can’t wait to have Rose back to full fitness and out on the pitch and will just hope he can continue his return to action with no further setbacks.
