Heung-Min Son is certainly returning to form at the moment. The Korean livewire has grabbed some big goals over the last few weeks, with a brace against West Ham in the Carabao Cup followed up with an incredible solo goal against Chelsea. However, when he had the chance to add to those strikes yesterday he fluffed his lines, and the Lilywhites were left gutted at the wasted opportunity.
68 – Big chance for Sonny as he latches on to a loose pass in the middle, before testing Leno from the edge of the area.

The score was 2-2 and it was just a matter of minutes before Alexandre Lacazette would go on to give the Gunners the lead with a deflected strike, Hector Bellerin’s woeful pass out from the back found Son and with Bernd Leno out of position it looked like a certain goal. However, Son took too long and then fired a tame effort at the German ‘keeper who produced a comfortable save, turning behind for a corner.
At the time it looked like just another missed chance in what was a thrilling derby. In hindsight, though, if Son had been able to bury it and give his side a massive 3-2 lead then Mauricio Pochettino’s side probably wouldn’t have suffered their second-half collapse. It was a pivotal miss that left plenty of the Lilywhites angry and frustrated, and if the chance had fallen to Harry Kane instead of Son then the outcome would likely have been very different.

Guess Sonny is mostly the only one to get many chances tonight. He should make one. I hope.

I wouldn’t call it almost straight at the keeper testing him. Should have buried it like Aubameyangs last goal

The Lilywhites were gutted when Son missed his golden opportunity and would have given anything at that moment for him to score.
