Writing for Football.London, reliable Tottenham correspondent Alasdair Gold has tipped the club to complete more deals in the form of outgoings today, whilst also refusing to rule out a move for Joe Rodon.
Rodon, who has been on Spurs’ radar since the international transfer window closed, is battling the clock if he wishes to complete a move to Tottenham – with the domestic market deadline merely hours away.

Gold delivers latest on Spurs
After 5pm today, Jose Mourinho will have confirmation of his full squad – at least until January – as time completing any more moves will not be permitted.

Even though Spurs and Swansea remain apart in their valuation of Rodon, with the Swans demanding close to £20 million, Gold has refused to rule out the possibility of a deal given the nature of deadline day.
Indeed, it is apparently ‘Rodon or nothing’, with Football Insider recently suggesting that Daniel Levy could offer a player exchange in a bid to lower their asking price.
Gold, acknowledging those reports, has confirmed that Tottenham are looking to trim their squad.
Of the players up for sale or available for loan, USA international Cameron Carter-Vickers looks the most likely to leave this window with Bournemouth showing the most interest as Levy looks to sell him on a permanent deal (Gold).
Spurs, however, are unwilling to give up on winger Jack Clarke but could entertain offers which seem too good to resist.

While the Rodon deal seemingly hangs in a delicate balance, with it still being possible, the news that Tottenham are eager to offload a few players and balance the books should also come as potential good news to supporters.
After a summer of headline-grabbing deals, trimming the wage bill could be key, especially given the club had to borrow £175 million through the Bank of England earlier this year.
