According to an update by Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, via Football Daily, ‘Tottenham are interested’ in a swoop for Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger – as are Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain – potentially as the result of a recent report detailing some less-than-favourable news on Milan Skriniar.
Rudiger, who has been left out of the last four match day squads by Blues’ boss Frank Lampard, could be seen as a viable alternative to Skriniar given it is possible that he will be allowed to leave on loan.

Indeed, valued at around £22.7 million by his club, chairman Daniel Levy could bypass paying that fee entirely if he manages to secure the German international on a season-long temporary deal for the 2020/21 campaign.
While Skriniar is seen as Spurs’ top target, as confirmed by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Wednesday’s print edition of Tuttosport (via sempreinter.com) has now claimed that Inter Milan’s colossus is looking increasingly likely to stay at The San Siro.
The Slovakian, who stands at a lofty 6ft 2 whilst possessing an adept ability to play out from the back, has been at the centre of drawn out negotiations over the last week – but this update from Tuttosport potentially means that Spurs should look at alternative options.
Rudiger, amassing 31 caps for his country, is now attracting interest as a Skriniar fall-back option – and the £100,000-per-week star may well be one to watch as the clock ticks on before transfer deadline day on October 5.
Indeed, after agreeing a deal to sign Carlos Vinicius, Spurs fans now wait to see who could be their seventh addition of the summer.
