Tottenham Hotspur fans were left backing manager Mauricio Pochettino after reports over worries from the Argentine over the form of Jan Vertonghen.
According to Football Insider, Pochettino is far from convinced the club should hand the Belgian a new contract after his poor performances this season, with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
The publication also reported earlier this month that the 32-year-old was keen to extend his seven-year stay at the club (via Football Insider).
Spurs have been in poor form this season, winning just two of their seven games so far this season (via WhoScored). The north London club have thrown away leads in three of their last four games, against Arsenal, Olympiakos and Leicester City, as concerns have risen among fans.
It seems the fans of the club are siding with their manager on his concerns over Vertonghen and some have already started looking at potential alternatives, as they took to Twitter to react.
