Christian Eriksen made his return to Premier League action on Saturday, coming off the bench and making a difference as Tottenham Hotspur ran out 3-1 winners over Aston Villa. All three of Spurs’ goals went in after his introduction, although the Dane didn’t have a direct hand in any of them.

It’s now being reported that despite the speculation, Eriksen could be set to sign a new contract in North London, as The Daily Mail claim that the Lilywhites are going to offer the playmaker a contract worth £200,000 per/week, which is over double what he currently earns at the club.
The Dane is reportedly on £80,000 per/week according to the Mail, and whilst the massive pay rise he would receive looks like a great incentive to put pen to paper, it’s claimed that there are concerns that it still won’t be enough to convince him to stay on at the club.
