Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks is a transfer target for both Manchester United and Manchester City, that is according to a report from The Athletic.

The report suggests that officials at Old Trafford have discussed the 23-year-old as a potential target this month, whilst it is thought that City would look to sign him in the summer if they were to make a move.
United are certainly in need of midfielders with both Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba currently out injured, leaving them with just Fred and Nemanja Matic available.
And although he did start against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup on Sunday, Winks hasn’t been a regular under Jose Mourinho of late and has started just three of the nine Premier League games that the Portuguese has taken charge of (Transfermarkt).
It seems that the Spurs fans are divided over whether or not they would like to see Winks leave the club. Some believe it would be a mistake to sell, whilst others wouldn’t be too upset if he left.
Here is what some said about it on Twitter…
Would be a huge loss one of the best players we’ve got just needs better quality around him to really shine

Let him go. Not a very intelligent player/person. I don’t think he is a Mourinho type character. Jose prefers leaders/warriors.
