AC Milan will look to strike a deal with Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window as they are keen to sign right-back Serge Aurier, that is according to a report from Tuttosport (via Ricky Sacks).
It is suggested that the Ivory Coast international is one of a few players that the Rossoneri are targetting as they have little faith in current option Andrea Conti.
Aurier has actually been a regular for Spurs in the current campaign, featuring 33 times across all competitions including 31 starts (Transfermarkt). In the Premier League he has been averaging 3.1 tackles, 2.5 clearances and 1.2 key passes per game, whilst also winning 6.8 total duels (SofaScore).
However, despite this he is often criticised by fans for mistakes or lapses in concentration. Indeed he has given away two penalties in the league this season whilst he also loses possession on average 15.8 times per top flight match (SofaScore).
Loads of Tottenham fans have been reacting to Milan’s reported interest in the defender, with many suggesting that the club should definitely sell him – one even called the Ivorian a ‘liability‘.
